In a conversation with Sergey Khelmyanov, we explored the true meaning behind the words “design” and “aesthetics” today, how to create truly valuable products in a world of digital noise and overproduction, and what role and responsibility an entrepreneur should assume.

Sergey Khelmyanov is the co-founder of the international CHE Design School, a teacher, designer, architect, and design theorist with over 20 years of teaching experience. He founded and, for 10 years, directed the “Transportation Design” program at the A.L. Stieglitz Academy, which trained dozens of internationally renowned specialists. He is the author of over twenty articles on the history of Russian design and co-author of the book “Mukha: The St. Petersburg School of Design.”
